enriquezArte

EnriquezArte is an NGO born from the desire to help the inhabitants of the El Turó de la Peira neighbourhood, located in the popular district of Nou Barris on the hills of Barcelona. El Turó de la Peira has been for several generations a place of welcome for immigration, rich in an important cultural diversity. With almost 18,000 inhabitants, 97 different nationalities are discovered, mainly from South America and the Caribbean. Almost half of the population was not born in Europe and approximately 35% do not have Spanish nationality.

But our neighbourhood is also one of the poorest in Barcelona, ​​facing significant economic and social challenges. 25% of its population is in a vulnerable and/or regularised situation, and a large part is excluded from the rest of the city of Barcelona. It is in this context that EnriquezArte is framed. Together, we work to build and promote harmonious coexistence between these inhabitants, who increasingly face difficulties in accessing basic resources, a low educational level and social and labour exclusion.
