Ajuntament de les Masies de Voltregà

Les Masies de Voltregà Town Council is a municipal public authority serving the local community, with a staff of 54 employees (2026 data).

The Town Council is headquartered in the former El Despujol Fortified House, which dates from the 17th to the 19th centuries and is listed as a Cultural Asset of National Interest. It is a rural eclectic-style residential property dating from the Modern and Contemporary periods. This country house has remained in the same family lineage since 1880.

The house’s former stables have been restored and converted into a meeting and gathering space available to local residents and community organisations.

The romantic gardens of El Despujol Fortified House make the grounds a genuine pleasure for everyone who comes to walk or exercise. The gardens are of both landscape and ecological interest and feature an extensive collection of plant species. Across their five hectares, they contain numerous remarkable and distinctive specimens.

The house also accommodates the Les Masies de Voltregà School of Drawing, Painting, Ceramics and Modelling.
